| History
Invicta Water Polo Club was formed in 1992 to give players in Kent and the surrounding districts the chance to play Water Polo at District and National level without having to leave their home clubs. Although all the club's officers and players are drawn from other clubs (mainly Beckenham, Hythe, Worthing, Hailsham and Folkston), it is an independent club for the promotion of water polo at Distict and National level only. Due to Invicta’s popularity and success a “second team”, the Marlins, was set up in 2001. This allowed more players to play at a national league level as well as giving younger players vital experience before moving into the first team. Teams The club runs 2 Mens teams, a Ladies team a Junior team (under 18) and a Youth team (under 16) . All of these play at the National level and expose the players to a high standard of water polo (see Trophy Room for each teams achievements) Youth Development The club has a structured youth development policy which can compare with the best in the country. It continually produces successful Youth and Junior teams who regularly prove their high standards at the national level. Many former Youth and Junior players are now established senior team players and this follows the clubs policy of promoting home grown players. The youth set up has produced a long line of players who have been selected to represent their country at age group level as well as for the senior team.
